Growing a lush yard can sometimes be difficult in Alberta’s dry climate. It takes a lot of water and maintenance to keep it looking healthy when your yard is being used by your family. The solution could be using synthetic grass in your yard. Rockland Landscaping Supplies has some creative ideas on how to use turf in your yard.
Playground Landscaping
Make a Play Area for Kids
You can place artificial turf under play areas and swing sets for your kids to prevent the wear and tear on natural grass. It is also a softer landing when kids take tumbles, as they often do, while they are playing.
Make a Putting Green / Bocce Surface
Don’t forget about the fun for the adults! Measure out your desired space, cut the turf to size and lay it down for an optimal surface for a putting green or for playing Bocce Ball in your yard.
Make a Patio Area
You can have your meals without socks and shoes by using synthetic grass as a mat underneath your outdoor dining area for a comfortable and plush dining area for your family and guests when you entertain.
Make a Border for a Spa / Hot Tub Area
Edge the area around your spa or hot tub with synthetic grass to absorb any water and prevent muddy areas if the spa is placed on the ground. It can also avoid any damage on your wood deck if you choose to put the spa there.
Make a Cover for Your Storage
You can disguise the storage boxes in your yard by covering them in synthetic grass to blend in with the grass. It can even provide some more comfortable seating in your yard and nobody will realize it’s a storage bin.
