Use Flagstone for Games: Encourage some backyard fun and games by setting up a chess, checkers, or tic-tac-toe board using flagstone. You can create checkers or tic-tac-toe pieces from wood and you can even order over sized chess pieces.
Use a Tree or Log as a Bike Stand: If you are removing, cutting back a tree, or you have logs on your property, you can turn it into a bike rack by cutting notches into the wood to hold the tire. It’s a simple, economical way to create a place to store your bikes.
Use Tree Logs as a Walkway: Recycle logs or wood slices by creating a unique and natural walkway in a garden or backyard.
Turn Logs into Seating: Create a bench or individual seating by using tree logs. You can even create small table to utilize as an eating area.
Get Creative With Your Retaining Wall: Retaining walls can be an opportunity to release creativity in your yard. Don’t be afraid to take a risk with a less conventional design. It will add some character and uniqueness to your property.
Build a Sunflower House: Create a private nook in the outdoors by planting a sunflower house. All you have to do is measure out the size, place stakes and string, dig up 1″-2″, and plant sunflower seeds. Watch them grow throughout the season and enjoy a secluded hideaway in the midst of sunflowers.
Use PVC Piping: Cut PVC piping into sections and hang it on a fence or in the garage to store landscaping and yard work tools. All you need is a saw, drill and screws to complete this simple project.
