GRADER OPERATOR – SNOW REMOVAL – HIRING
Are you an experienced equipment operator with expertise in operating graders for snow removal during the winter season? Do you have a passion for hard work and attention to detail If so, Rockland invites you to apply for the position of Grader Operator for our commercial snow management division.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation: Operate grading equipment to remove snow and ice efficiently and effectively from roadways, parking lots, and other surfaces
- Snow Removal: Clear snow using the grader and ensure that surfaces are properly graded for safety and accessibility
- Safety: Strictly adhere to safety protocols, including equipment inspections and safe operating procedures, to ensure the well-being of yourself and team members
- Maintenance: Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance tasks, report any issues promptly to the Site Lead to maintain optimal equipment performance
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, hours worked equipment usage, materials applied, and any incidents or issues encountered
- Communication: Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate snow removal efforts, respond to changing weather conditions, and ensure efficient service delivery
- Emergency Response: Be available for on-call shifts during heavy snowfall or winter weather emergencies
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a Grader Operator for snow removal operations
- Proficiency in operating grading equipment, including experience with snowplow attachments
- Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations
- Strong knowledge of snow removal and winter maintenance techniques
- Ability to work effectively in cold weather conditions and adapt to changing weather patterns
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Availability for flexible work hours, including night shifts, weekends and holidays
